Eddie Palmer

  Eddie Palmer:
  Director of the Scottish Canoe
  Association

Eddie is a Board Member/Director of the Scottish Canoe Association, being responsible for Access and Environment (www.canoescotland.com). This website covers all aspects of canoeing and kayaking in Scotland, and fully explains the Land Reform Act (Scotland), and the Scottish Outdoor Access Code (SOAC)

He paddles white water kayak all year round; and in the summer indulges in both long-distance open canoe touring (the subject of his books), and also canoe sailing (www.ocsg.org.uk).

Eddie is very much involved in aiding paddlers in England and Wales to gain access to water. One photo shows Peter Bottomley, M.P., on a fact-finding visit to Scotland last year (and canoeing, of course!). He has also given evidence, representing the SCA to the Welsh Assembly’s Petitions Committee

He regularly gives illustrated talks on his watery pastimes, and can be contacted on eddie@eddiepalmer.org
